Trip to Florida!

I had a very exciting weekend! Thursday night Mom & Dad took me on my first plane trip! We flew to Orlando to see my Florida family and friends. We had a late night flight, so by the time the plane took off, Mom & Dad said I was sound asleep. I don't really remember it, so I guess they're right! By the time we landed in Atlanta it was the next morning, so that was pretty cool! Overall, flying wasn't a bad thing! Though Mom & Dad said they "burned" a bunch of their miles so we could fly first class for my first trip! A girl could get used to that! Plenty of room to stretch out, warm towels, fresh baked cookies...well, I really only took advantage of the leg room, but Mom & Dad loved it!Here are a couple pictures from the plane:

Then we flew to Orlando and Grandma, Grandpa, Aunty Katy, and Uncle Eddie came to pick us up!

Back at Grandma & Grandpa's house, I met Milada and Tank. They are way bigger than Sophie! But we had fun...Milada hung out with me on my new playmat!

Grandma & Grandpa set up Mommy's crib from when she was a baby, so that's where I slept! It wasn't much different than home...Grandma decorated with Winnie the Pooh which is pretty cool!

I got to hang out with lots of people! I met some great aunts & uncles, new friends, lots of Mom & Dad's friends.

Friday night we met a bunch of friends and family at this restaurant that Mom & Dad love, they say they get "real" chicken wings there. Then I hung out with Grandma & Grandpa for the night while Mom & Dad and Aunty Katy & Uncle Eddie went to see some movie about wizards or something.

Saturday we went to Wendy & Warren's wedding, my first wedding! There was even another girl there was was 8 days older than me! We both were really good during the wedding. It was outside (and we all know that I love being outside!) so I watched the trees and birds and stuff during the ceremony. Then we danced until really late! I was a party animal!

Sunday a bunch of friends and family came over for a BBQ. Mom & Dad decided to buy a Nintendo Wii and they played it ALL DAY! They were really funny to watch:)

Monday we were supposed to fly out, but just as we were getting ready to leave, they found out our flight got canceled! So Mom & Dad spent a long time on the phone that day. So darn...we had to stay an extra night! We went out to Gatorland, where Aunty Katy works, to meet some of her friends. We got this cool picture taken while we were there!

I saw my first gators! They were HUGE! I also felt rain, saw lightening, and heard thunder all for the first time! It was crazy! Mom & Dad said that as long as they were in town for another night, they would go see another movie. So Grandma & Grandpa babysat again:

Grandpa, Milada, and I fell asleep together...

Today we flew back home, it was a nice flight! But it was tough to say goodbye to everybody:(

Well if you want to check out a bunch more photos from my trip to Orlando, here is a link:

Everyone says that I'm getting stronger...I'm getting pretty good and holding my head up steady when someone sits me up. I'm also pretending to stand up when Mom & Dad hold me up so I can try. I'm figuring out how to talk a little more...all I've got so far is "agoo" but hey! I'm getting there!

New Experiences...

Our family has had a super busy week! Monday night we drove to LA to go to say goodbye to my Great Grandma. It was really nice to meet all of her friends, and more of my family. Dad took a picture of me with Zayde while I was down there:

We drove back Tuesday and I was exhausted! I slept all night long...

Wednesday Dad's firm had another event! They are party animals!! They took us all to see the Giants play the Atlanta Braves. We hung out in a suite, which Mom says is the only way to go to a baseball game. The Giants gave me this cool certificate for my first baseball game:

It was cold! Dad kept me nice and warm. Well, he says I kept him nice and warm, but whoever did the warming did a good job! Check us out:

Here was our view of the field...

Dad said this guy Barry Bonds was too tired to play...apparently he is some sort of wuss or something? But we had a great time at the game!

Today I had an appointment at the doctor, another check up. I am up to 12 lb 6 oz, and 23 3/4 inches! The doctor said that is great! He said I am in the 94th percentile for length and head measurements, and 89th percentile for weight. He was also really impressed with how I like to sleep so much at night! They gave Mom & Dad these cool charts that show my measurements:

I had a new experience, not one that I liked! I got shots:( It hurt a lot! (Mom says it hurt her almost as much!) I cried while the lady was giving me the shots, but when Dad picked me up and hugged me I felt much better:) They said I should come back in two more months for another check up.
Tonight I am trying something else new, flying on a plane! We are headed to Florida to visit my family and to meet more family and friends! I can't wait!

More Visitors & My Great Grandma

This past Thursday I met two new people--my Aunty Illy and Uncle Beav! They were in town and stopped in for a visit. We went to San Francisco and everyone (except me!) ate dim sum in Chinatown. Then we drove around and saw some of the sights. Here are a couple pics of me with my visitors:)

Then Friday another person came to town to meet me! It was my Great Auntie Chrissie! She brought me a really pretty gift, a bracelet with my name on it! I love it! We all went out to dinner and then hung out for the rest of the evening. Here are a couple pics:

Saturday all my company left, and Dad, Mom, & I went to a BBQ at a friend's house. (Dad plays poker with him.) There was no poker going on, but Dad said he got to eat some yummy food and I got to spend some time outside. I've recently decided I really really like being outside, even if it's just to sit and watch a tree blowing!
We also had a sad thing happen to our family, we lost my Great Grandma Lee. She has been very sick, but, thank goodness, I got to meet her shortly after I was born. Dad & Mom have been telling me about her, about how great a woman she was, how wonderful a life she lived, and how they hope I get some of her traits. Everyone is very sad to have lost her, but Mom & Dad said she is in a special beautiful place now. Here are a few pictures of Dad & Great Grandma:

I'm a social butterfly...

We've had a good week! Mom & I have been hanging out, taking walks during the day. Then Dad comes home and we play and have a great time! Friday night we went out to dinner and walked around Pleasant Hill. Dad tried to talk Mom into taking me to a movie, but I said I didn't want to see Transformers!
Saturday Dad had his firm's annual golf tournament and then there was a party afterwards at this really cool house! They had a pool and Dad went swimming. The kids in the pool tried to splash me, so Mom and I hung out in the shade. I met about a million people! Everyone wanted to hold me, and it was really cool! I had a great time!

I have really been trying to suck my thumb, it would be so convenient! Check out the video at the bottom of the page! Here are a couple pics:

I moved into some new digs! It's a cool crib, and better yet, it has this awesome spinny thing overhead! I really like watching it! It's a pretty cool place to sleep, plus either Mom or Dad comes when I call them. So I don't mind!

Cute picture of me, so my parents say...

Just a cute smile, to brighten your week:)

6 weeks & the bottle...

Today I am 6 weeks old! Mommy & Daddy weighed me at home this morning, and according to their scale I'm 12.8 pounds! Cool!
Tonight Mommy & Daddy tried to trick me...Daddy fed me with this weird plastic thing? It was good enough, I guess...here are a couple pics of me & Daddy...

I've been working on some funny faces too...I'm learning how to use all of those muscles!

Okay, well that last one is of me yawning, but Mommy says it's pretty cute!

Fireworks & Parties...

I celebrated my first Independence Day this week! It was a great day, Dad was home from work and the three of us hung out all day! I didn't see too many fireworks, but I got to hang out with my friends Abby, Logan, Ginny, and Jason. We hung out at the Berkeley Marina and enjoyed the great weather!

On Friday I went to my first poker game. Dad didn't win, but he had a good time. He taught me how to bluff, and I've been testing it on Mom & Dad ever since!

Saturday I went to my friend Ella's second birthday party. They had tacos, margaritas, and a WATERSLIDE! (None of which I was able to use, but Dad enjoyed them all!) Aunt Kathrin was showing us how to use the slide! Birthday parties are totally fun, I can't wait to enjoy one of my own!

Sunday my friends Marie and Olivier came over for a visit. We watched "Finding Nemo" and took naps:) Beepers (Aunt Kristin), Uncle Stephane, Dad, and Mom played Wii. (Dad wasn't playing so well, according to everyone else!)

I'll be 6 weeks old Tuesday, can you believe it? I've been smiling more and more, which makes Mom & Dad smile more and more! I'm also liking my cool play mat! There are fun things to hit and a mirror to look into.

I love sleeping! (Mom says I shouldn't jinx it, but oh well!) I only like to wake up once a night, and I like sleeping in in the morning. But the best place to sleep of all, is on Dad's chest. He's so cuddley...

5 Weeks Old!

So I'm 5 weeks old today! Cool! Our family has been up to a lot. Saturday we went to my friend Abby's second birthday party. It was a lot of fun! I even wore a dress for the first time! Here are a few pics from the party:

I think I've figured out how to smile! Dad and Mom are super excited. Check me out:

I keep trying to suck my thumb, or knuckles, but I just can't get the hang of it! I'm also enjoying hanging out on my play mat lots more. There are these cool things that make noise that hang above me! It's lots of fun! Every time I'm down there my dog Sophie wants to play! She likes to give me kisses:)

Mom and I have been taking walks when we can. Then when Dad comes home we go for walks as a family, it's great!

We have a busy month planned, so I'll keep posting!
