Big Camping Weekend!

Man, was that a fun weekend! We are sure exhausted, but it was so worth it!

It all started Friday when I played hookie and stayed home with Aunty Ginny, Abby, & Logan. When Mommy & Daddy got home from work we packed up the trucks and headed out! We got to the campsite and found that Kristopher & Ella and their parents had the whole site set up. We got our stuff all set up, had dinner, and Daddy set up our walk-up drive-in movie theater! We roasted marshmallows and went to bed to rest up for the rest of the weekend.

Saturday we had some yummy breakfast and played around the campsite. In the afternoon I took a nap with Daddy while Mommy went on a walk with Aunty Ginny, Abby, and Logan. Later Marie and Olivier joined us at the campsite! That night we had a shrimp boil for dinner! I didn't try any shrimp, but the lil' smokies in there were sure tasty! (I wasn't the only one who thought so - Aunty Kat and Uncle Stephane almost fought over one!) We roasted some more marshmallows, watched a bit of a movie, and went to bed. That was sure a long day!

Sunday we had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast, yum! We decided to take a group hike with everyone and the dogs. That was quite a hike! I was happy to ride in the backpack on Daddy's back. All of us kids ended up riding on someone's back:) It was a fun hike, but we really enjoyed the ice cream when we got back to camp! We had some more visitors after lunch, Daddy's friend James and his girlfriend Ann Marie. They hung out, the dads all played some poker, and all of the kids took naps. It felt great! We woke up in time for dinner, smores, and a movie. After all the excitement, we were all ready for bed.

I was really excited when I woke up a third morning in the trailer! I wish every weekend was three nights long! After breakfast, us kids all played while the grown ups got everything cleaned and packed up. Then we hit the road, back to school this week!
