Closing Ceremonies...of the Camping Season

So this is it...camping season is officially closed. We had a fabulous weekend! It started with a drive up to the Russian River area on Friday evening. We stopped and grabbed pizzas on the way up. By the time we arrived Kristopher & Ella were already there with Uncle Jim. Aunt Ginny was there too, but Abby & Logan were already in bed. We had some dinner, hung around the campfire. Marie & Olivier arrived a little later, with Beepers and Uncle Stephane. Then it was time for bed...

Saturday we got up and had Beepers famous chocolate chip pancakes! Yummy! We went on a walk and fed the ducks and geese at the Old Mill Pond. We played on the playground, inside the giant tire, had tons of fun! Then it was time for naps...I think Mommy snuck off with the other moms to go wine tasting or something. After naps we took a walk down to the river to throw rocks in the water! The doggies ran all over and in the water. Then we went back to the camp site for dinner and to watch the Gator game! (Aunty Kat and Uncle Jim had a tv!) The people who own the campground brought their miniature horses around so we could see them! They even let us sit on the horses! Charity & Robert came and set up their tent. We had a shrimp boil, I love lil' smokies! After dinner some of our crowd went to watch a movie, I stayed by the nice, warm campfire. Robert brought his guitar, so we sat around and listened to good music! Then it was time for bed...

Sunday we got up and had breakfast, then went back to feed the ducks some more. We played on the playground, went back down to the river. It was getting a little chilly though in the mornings, so we will have to wait until it warms up again to go camping!
