Tonight we went out to dinner to celebrate Dad's 30th birthday! I decided I didn't want to hang out in my car seat during dinner, so Mom & Dad traded holding me while they ate. Dad had a good birthday, I think! Here is a picture of us at dinner:

My first road trip and other stuff...
So this weekend my parents & I went to LA to meet a bunch of people. I met G-pa & G-ma, my Great Grandma, Aunt Lori & Uncle Chris, and Great Aunts & Uncles. (I also saw my first Bentley! Great Uncle Barry just bought a new one!) Here is a picture of me with my Great Grandma: I slept most of the car ride, Mom & Dad were really happy with that. Check me out:
I also had a doctor's appointment last week. I met my pediatrician for the first time, very nice guy! He said I've gained some weight, and unlike most girls, I'm happy about that! As of last week, I was up to 9 lb 1 oz. Yippee!
Grandma left last week:( I miss her already! Now it's just me, Mom, Dad, and Sophie. We are one happy family!

News
So I guess this is it. I just learned, officially, that I'm never moving back to my old condo. It was a nice place, although a bit cramped, but now that my umbilical has fallen off (yesterday), I guess I'm stuck here on the outside.
I made a trip this week to a couple of places my parents each called "the office." So many people praising my looks - I'll tell you what, it really goes straight to a girl's head!
I have my two week doctor's appointment on Wednesday. I'm told that I will learn how I'm developing at that time. I will post my results for all to see.

Art and Wine
We're going to the Walnut Creek Art and Wine Festival today - my first party! Mom says she can't really drink wine yet, because I'm so young, but I was hoping to get a little buzz going. I'll take some nice pictures of the festival and post them later.
On the medical front, the doctor today said that my Bilirubins looked good, so no more daily trips to the hospital for blood checks. Finally, I'll get a chance to sleep in. Also, I put on 5oz yesterday, getting that much closer to my birth weight (I'm back up to 8lbs 5oz - just one ounce shy of my original stats). The doctors were happy with my progress and said that I don't need to come back until my 2 week appointment - when I will meet my regular pediatrician for the first time.

Day 3
Another day, another trip to the doctor to check on my Bilirubins. Looks like my tan isn't here to stay, after all (and looking at my pale parents, that's not much of a surprise). Nope - the doctors say I've got a touch of jaundice - but not enough to need any of those special lights.
On the home front, I've met this big hairy creature who just wants to kiss my face (no, not Dad) - whose name, I'm told, is Sophie. She seems nice enough, although she keeps sniffing my belly button in the strangest way.
Allrighty then - back to eating, pooping and sleeping. Another tough day at the office.
